ABOUT US...

Australian indie rock trio My Giddy Aunt could be most aptly described as a rainbow tornado, mixing witty lyrics and beautifully detailed soundscapes with punchy guitar work and a live act so full of energy that it could power a small town.
The all-queer & neurodivergent group from Naarm have earned a reputation for their colourful and diverse musical palette, underpinned by memorable songwriting with plenty of heart, passion and more than a touch of whimsy.
Inclusion and self-expression are at the core of My Giddy Aunt’s ethos and critters of all stripes will feel welcome at their live shows. The ‘delightfully charming’ (Dave Ruby Howe, JJJ Unearthed) trio combines the thoughtful lyricism of singer-songwriters like Courtney Barnett with the kick of rock bands from years gone by and the genre-defying arrangements of artists such as Gang of Youths.

My Giddy Aunt has performed at the Port Fairy Folk Festival in ‘23 & ‘24 and gigs regularly around their hometown Naarm/Melbourne, while their recent releases have enjoyed national airplay on Triple J Unearthed, PBS 106.7, SYN 90.7, 3CR and JOY 94.9, among others.
